ANTHRACNOSE CONTROL FOR ORGANIC VITICULTURE
Alternative control; Elsinoe ampelina; organic grape
In viticulture, anthracnose causes loss of production, and can affect the entire
aerial part of the plant, compromising its health. Many problems related to the
development of fungal resistance and the appearance of secondary pests have
arisen due to the indiscriminate use of synthetic chemical products. In this sense,
the objective of the work is to establish which product allowed by organic
production has the best fungicidal effect against anthracnose in grapevines. The
in vitro research will be carried out in the IFRS Phytopathology Laboratory, in the
campus of Bento Gon.alves, RS, during the first semester of 2023. To obtain
Elsinoe ampelina, the material was obtained from an organic vineyard, from the
cultivar "Regent" that presented visual symptoms of the disease. For isolation, it
was transferred to Petri plates containing PDA culture medium and antibiotic. To
evaluate growth, mycelial discs will be removed and transferred to the center of
new Petri plates with PDA medium. The treatments used will be Timorex Gold,
copper + sulfur, sulfur, bacillus and pirolenhoso extract, and the control,
containing only the culture medium. The diameter of the colonies will be
measured daily for 2 weeks. As a result, it is expected to be able to identify which
treatment had greater control over anthracnose on grapevines.
