SUMMARY:

Viticulture is an important activity in Brazilian fruit farming, occupying about 75,000 hectares and producing over 1.5 million tons of grapes in 2022, with Serra Gaúcha being the largest producing region. Organic viticulture in Brazil is relatively small and mainly comes from family farming, and worldwide it is expanding, valuing sustainable production. However, the lack of scientific research on this production system and the scarcity of organic production technologies affect farmers. The objective of this research is to analyze and characterize the productive practices of Bordô and Isabel grapes, making a comparison between the organic and conventional systems in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, observing technical indicators such as productivity, quality, and profitability. Previous results analyzed from production plots of Bordô and Isabel grapes in both production systems in the 2021/2022 harvest of producers from the Cooperativa Agroindustrial Nova Aliança, report a diversity of phytosanitary practices and their respective costs. The gross profitability of the referred harvest progresses as a function of the increase in productivity and not the glucometric degree. The research is in the data compilation phase and intends to conduct a more in-depth analysis to evaluate the relationships between variables.
