SUMMARY:

The industry in general uses programs that simulate mechanical properties of previously developed components with the aim of improving manufacturing through machining, finishing, forming, among other means of production. It is possible to determine whether the created component will withstand certain stresses even before manufacturing and carrying out tests on physical parts. Recently, “Industry 4.0” was mentioned, which consists of the digital simulation of all production environments before having them in the real world. Generative modeling software comes in line with this trend, as it is an alternative to reducing engineering time, helping the designer to create parts with more complex structures, using artificial intelligence for this application. This anticipates structural analysis processes after the project, saving time and resources. This work aims to evaluate the solutions generated by generative modeling, carrying out tests on 3D printed parts and comparing the results with a project carried out in the traditional way.
