RESUMO:

One of the most used processes in industrial manufacturing is machining. This process is responsible for the high generation of waste, especially chips, which make up most of the amount. In some cases, it becomes interesting to reuse these materials, applying them in new manufacturing processes aiming at recycling, sustainable production and reducing environmental impacts. Due to the impossibility of totally eliminating the production of industrial waste and in order to add value to it, it is essential to develop innovative technologies that allow its reuse. One of the advantages of these chips is the possibility of being reprocessed and transformed into metallic powders, facilitating their reuse in the production of new parts, mechanical components, among other goods of interest, through the powder metallurgy process, for example. This technology is a metal forming process, which involves the production of powders, compaction and sintering, with the ultimate goal of producing new parts. It is through this technique that great economic results can be obtained when producing a metallic powder from machining chips, adding value to these. This research aims to produce raw material for the powder metallurgy process, by obtaining metallic powders from the grinding of machining chips prepared under different conditions.
