Brazil and the world had their routine drastically modified by the advance of the COVID-19 pandemic. For education, the reality of the pandemic meant an emergency reinvention of teaching methods and practice through information and communication technologies. In view of this, this research dissertation, entitled: “Learning from remote teaching: challenges and possibilities in the pedagogical practices of Professional and Technological Education” aims to discuss the challenges faced in the educational process during Remote Teaching caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 19, in a historical context never experienced in recent years, where technological resources were essential to mediate the teaching-learning process, given the demands of social distancing. The study seeks to reflect on the adversities found in this new model of education generated by the need to reorganize pedagogical practice in Professional and Technological Education, and the influence and consequences left by remote teaching in the post-pandemic. As theoretical contributions, the following topics will be explored in depth: History of Professional and Technological Education – EPT; Emergency Remote Teaching; Teaching Training and Practice and Active Methodologies. This is research with a qualitative approach of an applied nature. As for the objectives of the research, it is characterized as exploratory. As a methodological strategy, bibliographic research was adopted through systematic document review. For the research, the methodological procedure of bibliographic review was used with a qualitative approach of an applied nature, in which works of specialized literature and scientific articles were consulted.
