SUMMARY:

This research, carried out at the Professional Master in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT) of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), is inserted in the Research Line of “Educational Practices in Professional and Technological Education” and seeks to understand an existing scenario and, from this, propose an educational product that will be tested to seek to solve the presented problem. The research aims to understand the relationship between the dissemination of news by the Communication Coordinator of the Bento Gonçalves Campus of the IFRS and the integral human training of the students of technical courses integrated to the secondary education of this institution, considering that the notices, lectures, courses, among other events, are carried out by the institution in its official dissemination channels. For the development of the research, among the proposed objectives will be to map what is the perception of students about the work developed by the Communication, investigate whether they know and follow the work carried out by the institution and if they seek information about news, looking for possible gaps that hinder the dissemination of information to all. It will also be investigated whether the academic community proposes agendas or whether this information is not passed on internally, in addition to studying the guiding documents of the institution and identifying the role of communication in these spaces. As a way of subsidizing the research under development, the project includes the presentation of the Bento Gonçalves Campus and the reorganization of the Federal Network of Professional and Technological Education, which occurred in 2008, when the proposal for integral human training in the institutions of the Federal Network emerged. The concepts of organizational communication and public communication are also presented, since it is understood that the work developed by the aforementioned coordination combines both areas. The last two concepts addressed in the research are dialogic education, or dialogicity, and educommunication, which stand out for the research being conducted with students, seeking a dialogic interaction and proposing the creation of a communicative product. The research is characterized as qualitative and will be carried out from the action research methodology. Students will be asked to complete an electronic questionnaire that will serve to understand what their perception is and whether they access the news content produced on the Campus. After this stage, approximately fifteen students of the second and third years, who agree, will be invited to participate in a face-to-face, semi-structured interview to complement the information collected previously. With the research data collected, it will be possible to propose the elaboration of an educational product that will have as its main objective to contribute to the integral human formation of students from the expansion of the dissemination of Campus actions to a greater number of students. The educational product generated by the research will be made available in a public repository, with free access to other researchers and institutions seeking to know and, who may know, also assist other institutions in the process of disseminating news of activities that take place outside the classroom to the internal public, especially students.
