RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGICAL PRODUCT MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION AT IFRS: PROPOSAL OF A PROCEDURE STANDARDIZATION MANUAL
Communication Policy. Technology Marketing. Technology transfer office - TTO.
The FORMICT Report (2018) released by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation in Brazil revealed difficulties that technology transfer offices (TTO) face regarding communication and marketing of technological products developed in the context of Scientific and Technological Research Institutions (STRI). Although at the forefront STRI that have an approved and applied Communication Policy, IFRS, the institution analyzed in the present research project, proposes to communicate its research and innovations in traditional dissemination channels, based on press vehicles, events and sites whose outreach depends on researchers. In a preliminary analysis, we observe that the IFRS website does not allow the visitor to identify if there are social networks, newsletter or youtube channels providing specific information on research and technological products and services, justifying this research. The aim is to assist IFRS with a proposal containing an operational checklist to help manage communication of these products, through a procedure standardization manual.
