Transformations in Education: Digital Culture in the "New" High School and the challenges for pedagogical practice

This work is linked to the line of research: "Educational processes in digital culture: rethinking pedagogical practices and teacher training in contemporaneity". This research project focuses on analyzing the practice pedagogical approach for the development of the Digital Culture theme implemented in “New” High School, in a state public high school located in metropolitan region of Porto Alegre/RS. In this context, the methodology adopted will be a qualitative approach of an exploratory nature and, procedurally, the field research, together with documentary and bibliographical research, as that, from these methodological approaches, it can be seen that the understanding of documentation that gave rise to what is today called "New" High School, as well as its historical and political context. The intention is to collect data from a questionnaire of interviews with semi-structured questions, in order to understand the vision teachers and students about pedagogical practice in Digital Culture. In addition to this, the possibility of carrying out the focus group technique, to deepen the understanding and reflection, later, in data analysis. The product This research will be developed based on the content analysis generated by data production, consists, preliminarily, of an interactive guide with curation of digital tools, accompanied by a didactic sequence. The relevance of this investigation lies in the urgency of supporting pedagogical practices in Culture Digital, considering that, as a mandatory subject, it was recently introduced in the school curriculum, with the urgency to identify advances and obstacles emerging; paths and possibilities, in this digitalized society, of which the school is part integral part and plays a fundamental role in democratic education and citizen promotion.
